Approaching Nirvana began in 2009 when Sam Willson and Andrew Sinclair collaborated on a song via Skype. Their energetic and emotional brand of Electronica captivated millions of listeners before they ever even met. Through the funding, support, and enthusiasm of their fans, Sam and Andrew were able to meet in Miami, Florida in 2012 and finally produce in the same room. “Evolve” marks their first album together and you can expect their sound to make an impact on the music industry.
In 2010, Approaching Nirvana’s music began to be used on various television shows (MTV, VH1, PBS, HGTV, E!, GOLF Channel, Oxygen, Oprah Winfrey Network, TV Guide Network, Smithsonian Channel) as they developed their sound and began posting their songs to YouTube.
2011 saw Approaching Nirvana become the YouTube artist of choice for the gaming community to use in their videos. With huge hits like “Bangers ‘n Smashed” and “2nd Flight” their album “Lapse in Time” rose to the top of the charts.
